Don’t Add AI. Add Value

Episode: 14

Episode 14 – ‘Don’t Add AI. Add Value’ with Alexia Ceppi

AI is moving fast. Adoption is accelerating. And our guest today thinks maybe most organisations are asking the wrong question.

Not “Should we use it?”
But “What happens to people when we do?”

In this episode, Alexia Ceppi, Head of Learning & Development Retail Operations International at Swatch, has a clear and disciplined perspective: technology should bring out human potential – not replace it.

That sounds obvious. In practice, it’s rare.

Because too often, new tools don’t simplify – they complicate. They add noise, slow people down, and quietly erode motivation.

Despite that, Alexia’s answer isn’t to resist. It’s to adopt a thought-through rigorous evaluation lens – every initiative needs to pass three filters: What’s the scope? What’s the time? What’s the value?

If it doesn’t create meaningful progress, it doesn’t belong.

But beyond that, the real impact of those decisions doesn’t sit in strategy – it shows up in human connection, in what she calls the ‘five-minute legacy’: what impact you have in the first few minutes of interacting with someone – do they leave clearer… or more confused? Energised… or disengaged? Connected… or distanced?

This is where it all connects.

The way you adopt technology shapes the experience people have every day. And those experiences -small, frequent, often unnoticed – are what define whether potential is realised or lost.

This isn’t a conversation about AI.

It’s about what your AI decisions do to people.
